Shenqi is a graduate student studying plant synthetic biology with a particular interest in the biosynthesis of an anti-cancer drug precursor, camptothecin, in a plant called the Happy Tree. Shenqi graduated from National University of Singapore with a master's degree on Innovation and Entrepreneurship and a bachelor's degree on Biomedical Sciences. Shenqi interned in an Israeli startup company, TransAlgae, as a business development assistant, and helped the company to expand its services to the Asian market. After her entrepreneurship education, Shenqi co-founded Hebron SG with a focus on the development of sustainable urban farming strategies of herbal medicines. In her spare time, Shenqi enjoys jigsaw puzzles and gardening.
