Social Impact Program
The program is aimed to provide Yale affiliates with social impact-driven opportunities in the non-profit sector through a 8 week pro-bono project that advance representation in STEM, promote diversity, and improve healthcare outcomes. Learn directly from non-profit leaders over the course of the project and potentially beyond the programming upon mutual interest.

500 Women Scientists
The mission of 500 Women Scientists is to serve society by making science open, inclusive, and accessible and transform society by fighting racism, patriarchy, and oppressive societal norms.
Potential project: Use Google Analytics to assess and improve Gage’s performance. Gage is the world’s largest directory of women and gender diverse experts in STEM
Goodie Nation
Goodie Nation exists to eliminate the relationship gap that stands in the way of success for too many promising entrepreneurs, especially those who are people of color, women, or aren't located in coastal financial centers.
Potential project: Work directly with healthcare-focused founders from Goodie Nation’s portfolio to help the development of their start-ups. There is a diverse range of companies from digital heath, insurance, consumer technology, to artificial intelligence, and specific projects will be determined based on the founder's needs and student’s interests.

Seeding Labs
We believe that unleashing the full potential of scientists worldwide is our best hope for fighting global diseases, feeding our growing population, and protecting our planet. With your help, we can equip all scientists with the tools, training, and connections they need to be on the cutting edge of global discovery.
Potential project: Contribute to Seeding Lab by helping shape their TeleScience curriculum and making a personal team-led video to add on to their TeleScience series
Roivant Social Ventures
Our mission is to improve equity in health care access and outcomes across geographies, socioeconomics, and demographics. We refuse to accept a world where only a fraction of the population can access the care they need.
Potential project: Identify the location of health deserts. This will involve conducting a meta-analysis of existing research and criteria used to identify health deserts, and evaluating/analyzing US geography and demographics according to the most relevant criteria for RSV purposes.

EB Research
EB Research Partnership (EBRP) is the largest global organization dedicated to funding research to treat and cure Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB). Since our founding in 2010, we have funded 100 research projects laser-focused on bringing life-saving therapies to the EB community. Our work has transformed the clinical trial landscape from just 2 trials in EB to 39 today.
Potential project: Help with analysis for their research portfolio and investments. Interests in impact investing, venture philanthropy, rare diseases, medical research foundations, genetic diseases, gene therapy/ editing are a plus
Kapor Center
The Kapor family of organizations works to remove barriers to Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) education and tech careers for underrepresented people of color. We take a comprehensive approach to fixing the leaks at every stage of the tech pipeline, from K-12 education through the workplace with education programs, advocacy, and social impact investing.
Potential project: Propose a quality control system that addresses the DEIB curriculum. The Kapor Center DEIB certificate program prepares participants to lead organizational change in tech companies that are committed to creating a workplace that fosters diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.
Project Access
Project Access-New Haven is dedicated to increasing access to medical care and services for underserved individuals in Greater New Haven. We achieve this mission by mobilizing a volunteer provider network to expand care for uninsured patients and providing patient navigator and community health worker services to help underserved patients access timely medical care and connect with local resources to address health-related social needs.
Potential project: Program evaluation of Project Access – New haven (PA-NH) Community Health Workers (CMH) program to address challenges, drive quality improvement and evaluate outcomes. Develop an evaluation plan (and associated tools – e.g., survey instruments, interview guides, etc.) that we can use to evaluate our CHW model.
Scientella
Scientella is a student-run, adult-guided organization that empowers the next generation of women STEM innovators by matching girls and young women with real-world career discovery and impact-minded leadership development opportunities.
Potential project: Help define the official guidelines for leadership on structuring their future programs, advisory responsibilities, and collaborations, and provide strategy to make Scientella to a 501(c)(3) non-profit.
