Emily Johns

Emily Johns is a Ph.D. student in Computational Biology and Bioinformatics at Yale, where she works with Dr. Yize Zhao to develop computational tools that integrate diverse health data types for predicting disease onset, progression, and risk. Beyond her research, Emily is passionate about technology commercialization and the translation of scientific discoveries into real-world applications. She's drawn to systems thinking approaches in both science and broader sociological challenges, and finds inspiration in literature to connect ideas across disciplines.
